Could you please elaborate. I have installed the same version of agent. Further, I have also installed GLPI inventory plugin also. However, still unable to add the devices.
Request help me with the instructions.

Sorry, but the instructions are in the documentation. The topic is too broad to relate to you. Use the materials you have and specify what your problem is.
In short - install the GLPI Inventory plugin, configure the parameters, create a netdiscovery task, when it detects devices you can run the inventory task.

Hi everybody,
I also find the net inventory very complicated. When I install the GLPI agent 1.5 it asks me parameters, at the end run the inventory of the machine and bam! the machine is inventored in the GLPI installation on a web server (siteground in my case). Very simple and effective, a really great work!! Then the nightmare starts with the net inventory :-(
I started to read the network inventory documentation and it says that only updates inventored assets, so is important to run the network discovery before. So I started to read the network discovery documentation and it says that the task just collect informations but they must be injected to the server with glpi injector...
My question is: why a so complicated aproach? Surely there is an answer but I can't figure out.
There are a lot of CMD programs working with recursive questions:
- please insert your GLPI server adress: https://youraddres
- please insert the fist ip to scan: 192.168.0.1
- please insert the last ip to scan: 192.168.0.50
- please select SNMP version(type 1 for v1, 2 for v2, 3 for v3...)
- please select bla bla bla, recursive question to gain all the informations needed
- do you want to save this parameters for a future use (Y or N):y >> task is ready to be created
Then the script lauces the netdiscovery, then the netinventory, then the injection to the GLPI installation, than upates the agent with the saved task that will be run following the agent setup, standard is every hour.
I'm not able to program a .bat file like this but I think that for a master like those who invented GLPI it's a kid's play.
You can find a lot of exaple on the internet, the first two i can remember are clonezilla or MAS (used just for testing purposes)
Is it so difficult to create a question by question script that can help in this matter?
Thank you for your great work with GLPI

I practically do not use cmd at all, because what for? You set it in GLPI, and there it's not complicated, just logical - IP range, SNMP, what the agent has to do - and that's it.
