Hi,
We have enabled glpi native inventory and find it great. Recently one of our systems (which has 10 hard drives) lost a drive and we wanted to do a search within glpi to get the serial number of the dead drive (the dead drive won't report its serial number). We thought that glpi would keep track of the drives but we were wrong. The inventory was updated and now glpi doesn't show the dead drive. It seems that glpi just deleted the drive from the inventory but it didn't log the change anywhere. Keeping track of such a change should be very easy, it could be done by using a trigger that would record the details of the old drive into the history before deleting the record.
Maybe this feature already exists on glpi, having a history of removed devices from computers. Can someone shed some light into this?
Thx in advance.
