(RESOLVED) Monitors Lenovo S22e-19 aren't imported

Hi guys,

I'm trying to find a reason why only this type of monitor isn't imported by GLPI agent.
My monitor imports are working fine, like Dell monitors and others but, only this model, isn't imported and there is no log on the web interface, if it's being recused.

Someone passed by the same problem with another monitor model?

Monitor mentioned: lenovo.com/br/pt/accessories-and-monitors/monitors/office/S22e-19A18215FS121-5inch-Monitor-HDMI/p/61C9KBR1BR

EDIT: I noticed that when one of these monitors appears in the system, the serial is like 0101010101 but it disappears right away

Thanks in advance smile
(sorry for my english)

Hi richard.coelho,

if you see that serialnumber, it is probably blacklisted and this explains why it is not imported. THere's probably an issue with that specific monitor model.

Anyway, can you check the generated inventory and share the MONITORS nodes ? Also can you try to connect one monitor with a SVGA cable and see if it's imported. If yes, there could be an issue with  HDMI support for that monitor model.

Re: (RESOLVED) Monitors Lenovo S22e-19 aren't imported

Sorry for a late response,

In my GLPI, many monitors are imported with the S/N 01010101 and, when it updates, it updates just one register because, for example, 20 monitors (differents manufacturers) are recognized with the S/N 01010101, and not creating another register. Another doubt, what is the "MONITORS nodes" that you mentioned before?

Thanks in advance!

Re: (RESOLVED) Monitors Lenovo S22e-19 aren't imported

Hi richard.coelho,

such "generic" serial means the monitors won't be supported by glpi inventory. This serialnumber will be imported one time and each a monitor comes with such serial the first imported monitor will be unlinked from a computer to be linked to another...

This is definitively a bug on the monitor, and we can't do anything on the computer side to fix such problem easily.

The best way to work-around this problem in GLPI is to add the serialnumber to the blacklist and to register monitors and link them to computers manually. Another way is to use not bugged monitors.
