Hi everyone,
I am trying to update a computer registry that was manually added before.
Like, I register a computer manually without user or anything, just with the specs of it.
When that computer connect on the network and the agent is installed,
I want to update automatically the same registry with new infos (who is the user and etc.)
I tried to make a rule that:
"If the serial number already exists: Try to relationate it it's possible"
Maybe I'm making the wrong rule for that, but I'm kinda rookie on GLPI, so I don't know where I go
Thanks in advance

Hello richard.coelho
the default rules should still handle the case where the S/N you entered is found on the computer.
But did you tried to import the computer inventory from GLPI Agent ? You didn't tell if you tried to import it. Anyway, be sure to remove the rule you created to avoid any mistake as, like I said, the default rules should make the job.
If you imported the inventory and it didn't update the expected computer, you should still see a new computer for the automatically imported one. If not, be sure to have enabled inventory support as it is no more enabled by default.

Thanks for the answer gbougard!
I tried to do it, but, it is showing up as another computer and not updating the existing one.
The only information that is the same in both is the S/N.
Like:
PC-1234 ------ S/N 32453 (Manually added)
PC-TI-45 ------ S/N 32453 (Agent added)

Why is the name field different? GLPI agent must have read the actual one - why manually added another one?
The name field is ocked in this manually added object?
Do you have a clean install or did you change anything? front/ruleimportasset.php
