Hello, i reconfigured glpi due to the mailgateway issue i had before and now this issue is gone. But i still got a new small problem with tickets going through mail gateway and web in new configuration.
Configuration: All users are auto assigned to root entity. Mail gateway is assigned to root entity. All hardware is auto assigned to root sub entities (one per AD site). All hardware is auto assigned to user. -> All working fine.
Problem: If a user logs into help desk, he can associate the ticket to his assigned hardware, fine. If for example a superadmin wants to associate other item of his hardware after ticket was created he can only select hardware associated to main entity not from sub entity. Same thing when ticket send by mail. When user, hardware and mail gateway is in the same entity everything is fine.

Entities are closed thing so you cannot associate items. So in your configuration all the actions are ok.
You cannot asisgn to a ticket of the entity A an hardware from the entity B.
User association give you the possibility to pass through the restrictionb but we only forgot to set up a filter on this list.
