[Solved] Question regarding Knowledge Base

Hello.
I have GLPI 10.0.2 up and running.

I have a main Entity, two subentities and two users (one for each subentity)

If I publish a doc as admin in KB and assign it to user1, user2 can see the doc under Browse (and can see the subject and a small part of doc) but can't read the full document (this is ok).
User2 shouldn't see the docs for user1, even the subjects, as sometimes it may contains data that other users shouldn't read.

How can I prevent users to see documents assigned to other users/sub-entities?

Re: [Solved] Question regarding Knowledge Base

Wild guess here but check the profile rights for KNOWLEDGE BASE. Users with the right KNOWLEDGE BASE ADMINISTRATION can see everything.

Re: [Solved] Question regarding Knowledge Base

Guys,
I'm also in the same situation and so far I haven't been able to find anything concrete that can or make a contour in a possible bug? or a solution..

Someone to shed some light?

Re: [Solved] Question regarding Knowledge Base

The profile it's simplified and doesn't exist the option that you mentionend.
only option that it's checked it's "READ THE FAQ"

GLPI Version: Latest

Re: [Solved] Question regarding Knowledge Base

@Rafumel1774.
Yes. Rights are settings on profile. But it has just a "Read the FAQ" checkbox, as mentioned by pmesquita.

In the browse tab, a user that isn't allowed to see a document can see the subject and an extract of that document (about 550 chars), but clicking on it just show blank.

So as workaround I'm filling first part of docs with some other information, like a disclaimer or contact info.

Re: [Solved] Question regarding Knowledge Base

Ok.
This seems to be to way to go:

1. Add a new item in KB.
2. Put a disclaimer or some other generic info (about 550 characters long). It will be displayer under Browse Tab on FAQ section.
3. Write your document.
4. Add images/media if needed.
5. Assign Entity/User
6. Make sure your images/media are not in your root entity. If not, add them to transfer list and assign to proper subentity.

Marking solved as it fits my needs.
