Hello Everyone,
I want to get your opinion about Targets. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's a bug. I dont know yet
I use many nnms systems. In general, it works with the same logic as the glpi logic. Discover and polling device logic.
From what I've read on the internet, [ip range] is required to discover and polling network devices with glpi inventory by snmp.
But is there any mistake here? Normally for this kind of systems, devices first discovered by ip range (network scan) and then imported to glpi database with an unique id. Then, the devices or assets in glpi database are polled with SNMP method.
There is no problem for discovering devices with Network Discovery task. But Network inventory tasks doesn't work when ip range is used as the target. If you select the imported device as the target, it can poll without any problem. But there is another problem here, there is no (all) option when you select network device or printer while specifying the target. In other words, you need to manage the device added and removed every day on the target side for Network inventory tasks.
In summary, if all devices can be selected as target in the polling (network inventory by snmp) task, it will be automatically polled when there is a newly added network device between two tasks.
Do you think this is a bug?
Best Regards

Hi babi,
are you talking about task configurated via FusionInventory for GLPI plugin or GlpiInventory plugin for GLPI 10 ?
Then can you tell which GLPI version you're using and which plugin version too.
