Latest software version available

Hello everybody,

This is my question, can FusionInventory show me the latest version available for the software that i have on my computers?

For example lets say that i have VLC on my domain computers, version 12.0.0 and VLC launch 13.0 version, is there a way that i have this kind of information with fusion inventory and GLPI, if there is not, did someone know a way to obtain this information easily?

Hi,

I don't think you can do that with Fusion. Fusion doesn't have a connection to the different editor to check the latest version.
If you want to do some patch management on your software you can use a product like Endpoint Central (Manage Engine/Zoho). That's what we use at our job. Not free or open source I am affraid.
