Connecting one computer to another and to the same network device

Hi,

i see i have option to connect a computer to a device or monitor or printer. But I don't see an option to connect a computer to another computer.

For example, all server-type computers are connected to another server-type computer, which is my domain controller for example.

Any suggestions on how I could do this?

Another situation I've noticed is that I can connect the computer to a network device, but I need to inform the specific port. In the case of virtual servers, the registered computers are not linked to a port, but the same physical port.

Any suggestions on how I could do this?

The impact analysis option are these dependencies? Or is it another kind of dependency?

The connections are more for physical, direct connections.
For your example of computers connected to a domain controller, your computers are receiving one or more services from that domain controller. You can map logical connections using the Impact Analysis tool/tab instead.
You can enable Impact Analysis for specific item types in Setup > General > Impact Analysis

For virtual machines, technically they may be all communicating through the same port on the host and then the host port is connected to a single switch port.

But to connect the virtual machine to the host, I need to be able to connect one computer to the other. However, there is no option to connect to another computer. Just show (Device, Monitor, Printer and Phone).

On the impact analysis tab everything is enabled.

Again, the relation between VMs and the host is not a physical, direct connection which I think is what the Connections tab is meant for.
It can be tracked better using the VM tab (could be done automatically when using the GLPI inventory agent or FusionInventory), or Impact Analysis.

Printers could be directly attached with a USB cable, or older printers/computers may connect to each other with a parallel cable. For phones, I think it is more a legacy thing. The other types are more obvious with direct connection uses.

Now I understand what you mean.

At most I can use the impact analysis to make the relationship between computers and to appear the list of what I can relate is by adding in general > impact analysis.

The connection that appears on the device is specific to a point-to-point need, for example physical hardware mapping.
