Can't

Hey guys. I need some help. For some reason whenever I try to update a field in the GLPI GUI, (for example- I want to add a new item in the "category" dropdown menu of "create a ticket") I get the error "humahelpdesk refused to connect". Humahelpdesk is the name of the GLPI server. This happens when I try to add an item to any dropdown menu. Can someone please help me or point me in the right direction to troubleshoot this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
