Hello everyone, I configured GLPI 9.5.7 with fusioninventory for network management, in short as an asset.
I can't start inventory in snmp in any mods, even forcing execution. The goal is to discover new devices using only snmp without agents or anything else, so in the configuration I entered my network to be detected 192.168.8.1-192.168.1.254, the snmp credentials or null (as the devices are to be searched ....) the version of snmp v1 or v2. I created the task with the type of work I have to do (snmp inventory) the actors who are the network as written above with associated credentials like, finally activating the task. Nothing happens! Can anyone help me?
In addition, in order to be able to scan on devices without an agent, which option should you choose in the task other than actors = ..... ?

Hi frankz66,
you need to install an agent with netdiscovery task and netinventory task enabled and use that agent as actor.

Thanks for the information, so I understand that these operations are delegated to a client who takes care of doing the dirty work ......

Yes. You can use the same machine as your GLPI server as long as you have correctly configured the agent on it.

Thank you for the info. I only ask you for a small info, I tried to run the netdiscovery scan through a host with agent and although it signals denied import errors to me, I wanted that snmp agent to run. The problem is that it doesn't start, although I used a Qin 7 pro PC with snmp and in the agent installation I selected all the options. It would come in handy to me as I have several devices to inventory in snmp v1 or v2. What do I have to do?
