GLPI v9.1.5
FusionInventory 9.1
We have a few non-network printers that Fusion enters as Devices instead of Printers. I believe this is happening due to the fact that these printers are connected to a PC's parallel port, so when Fusion runs against the PC it will see the printer as a Connection, under Assets > Devices. Instead, we need to be able to tell Fusion to automatically inventory these "devices" under Assets > Printers.
PS, moving these printers off parallel and onto the network would be a workaround from a FusionInventory standpoint, but right now that is not an option for us.
Thoughts?

same problem here but with USB printers.
have you solved it?

The problem still exists GLPI 9.5.6 and FusionInventory 9.5.0+1.0 or GLPI agent 1.0
For example, the HP 1320 printer is detected once as a device and once as a printer. The printer has port DOT4_001. The device has USB001. Maybe a coincidence, maybe that's it.
But I also have a printer that is detected as both a printer and a device. So maybe it's not a port issue.

An example from today.
I check the local inventory html file at the station and the printer is classified correctly - in the Printers section:
00x600 Idle 72xxxx Lexmark Universal v2 Lexmark Universal v2 USB001 LMUD1O4C
But in GLPI it was linked as a USB device.
Now I can see this serial number twice - as a printer and a device.
Edit:
2022-01-19 09:56 Plugin_FusionInventory (8) Printer Add a link with an item: Lexmark E260 (392)
2022-01-19 09:45 Plugin_FusionInventory (8) Device Add a link with an item: USB Printing Support (1017)
And yet it has also linked as a printer ... but not deleted as a usb device.
