Looks like a bug to me. The Delete right is missing in the Super Admin profile by default. It under the Management tab in the profiles.

This is not a bug, but a permission issue. Check your profile settings and add permissions to remove the domain.
I have a slightly different problem. I have put a domain in the trash, but cannot delete it permanently:
"Failed operation
(0 authorizations problems, 1 failures)
You can't delete that item, because it is used for one or more items
but you can do it by the form of the item"
But the 'associated items' tab is empty.

When you open the domain details you have a button "delete definively" this one works.

I apologize for the oversight. Yes, it appears to be a permission issue, which is unexpected for a superadmin profile.
