The install instructions were inadequate, but after a few hours, I was able to get into a web console. None of the walk-throughs or help files match what I'm seeing. It looks like the version was updated, but the docs were not.
I was brought to this through the Flyve MDM links, and that is what I'm hoping to get working. At this point it appears to be working, but nothing in the home interface makes much sense, and none of the documentation covers first startup of this version. I have used multiple ticketing and asset management systems in the past, and have several years of experience in IT, so my question is, does the latest version actually work, and is there any information on how to get it set up so that it does?

I know your frustration. The documentation is mainly out of date.
Keep in mind this is a opensource software. The documentation is never the sexiest part of the collaboration aspect. Even for the paying customer with support, the priority is the functionality.
It does work really well, actually BUT I have no experience with FlyveMDM. My journey began from the other side, from the GLPI point of view.
