Love the project.
I would like to have new tickets be linked to the group of the user who creates the ticket. An example would be teacher 1 is at school A, When teacher 1 submits a ticket it should be linked to the glpi group for school A, Alpha group. That way I can search for tickets based upon the group of the school, Alpha Group.
I have the authentication working with AD perfectly and well as group searching. When people login to glpi they get added to the correct glpi groups.
I know the next version is slated to have institutions, will it be possible to have the tickets assigned to a institution based on glpi groups? If so I can probably wait until the next version.
I've found a few options in glpi, letting users see tickets of other users in their group, or added computers to a group, but those options are not so useful to what we need.

tickets can not be linked to user groups because a user can have several rights.
but if you create rules in 0.7 to add a user to an institution he will could add ticket directly to this institution.

If I can create rules to add users to institutions with rules, that should work.
I know this is not currently possible, but what if users had a optional default group which could be linked to tickets.

The default group concept is not implemented now in GLPI.
maybe later.
