Devices with management type "Global management" can have only one connection to a computer,
that means i cannot connect two, three or more the same devices to a single computer if those
devices are globally managed in glpi.
Is it feature or bug?
Second questions. Are there somewhere some plans to add fianancial management to components?
I need to upgrade harware and it would be usefull to keep track of all information (guarantee/value) that is kept in financial tab for all new components that make upgrade of a computer.
and one more question, are there some plans to introduce a set of devices, that are grouped together
and can be connected/disconnected to/from a computer in whole (all devices in a set)

Global devices may be connection to several computers. It is working for me.

Planned but not for the moment.

You are the first to have this idea. So not planned yet.

i was not clear enough. i can connect globally managed device to a several computers, but cannot connect globally managed devices twice or more to the same computer. is it feature or bug.
i will upgrade hardware in near future, and need financial information on upgraded components, and at the moment it is possible only by adding devices, not components. i hoped i can add one globally managed ddr module, hdd device, etc and multiply it by computers installed on, but cannot add two ram modules to the same host, or two hdd drives to a server when this ram module/hdd drive is globally managed - i hoped for a workaround until financial information on components appears in glpi. i'm just asking, as i'm wondering and planning how to introduce my upgrade schema into glpi structure
concerning the set of devices request, at the moment i'm trying to use the "appliance" plugin, where i can combine a set of devices and software which create a logical device to be used on computers, but appliance plugin allows a device to be inserted in several appliances - ok, as id was designed for other purposes - i'd prefer the situation where a device could be connected to a set or appliance only once. and devices connected to computer by appliance plugin are not shown on the tab 'connections' while browsing computer information. maybe it could be possible to allow plugins to register a subsql selects to be unioned with standard glpi selects while presenting information concernig computers or other sections of inventoly. this could allow tighter integration of plugins and glpi, plugins could more precisele extend the functionality of glpi, now thay rather add more functionality, then extend existing one, if you know what i mean. but for me, maybe it would be easeir to extend functionality of appliance plugin changing behaviour of device assigmnent to aplliances rather than introducing the "sets" into glpi. but i saw also a thread about treating several computers working in cluster as a single virtual computer, which resembles my set of devices problem.
