Free software
Hi,
I'm probably going around this the wrong way, so hopefully someone can help me out 
Got GLPI and imported a bunch of data from OCS Inventory. Great.
Now I'm managing the software inventory, and trying to get a handle on tracking software licences. I'm tackling the free software first, as it is the easiest, but finding it long winded. By default, everything is given this "global" serial number. This can't be edited until the software is "unglobalized" [sic]. Then, each individual install needs to be edited one-by-one so that the serial can be changed to "free". With over 300 computers this takes a very long time Is there a way to "bulk update" so I can set the licences to free in a single sweep, or perhaps another way to change the default "global" serial to "free"?

Ah, OK - I've got it. As its a little complicated I'll answer my own post to help others:
1. Select the software
2. Add licence with serial number (free)
3. Go "back" (would be really nice if there was an option for this to go "back" automatically!)
4. "Unglobalize" [sic] the global software licence (sometimes this creates multiple _global_)
5. Tick the "all" box for one of the _global_ groups
6. Change "Update" to "move" and select the free group.
7. Rinse and repeat for all _global_ groups
Phew!
I'll take a look and see if I can update the wiki too
