Connections question

First off....
Thanks to the GLPI team for putting together such an excellent product! I've not seen anything else witin a reasonable budget that even comes close to what GLPI offers and was very happy to stumble across it in the Ubuntu repository.

Version: 0.68.2 (what is available in the Ubuntu 7.04 Repository) (Yes, I will upgrade, but I am in the testing process currently)

When I am adding a new computer, can I not also make connections at the same time? From what I have seen in my testing, I cannot make connections until after a computer is added. If this is changed in later versions (.68.30 or .7) then great. If not though, I would like to suggest it as a future option, unless it is not technically feasible.

Also, as a side question, is there a timeline on when 0.7 is expected to be a full release?

Thanks again for an excellent product!

Re: Connections question

Probably a dumb question, but what is the meaning of 'Global management' versus 'Unit management'?

I suspect the unit management means that each item is managed individually (as a unit), but I'm not sure I grasp Global management for a piece of hardware, which should have a quantity associated with it.

Either way, I'm not looking at associating a monitor with a computer in the template of the computer. Rather, I want to be adding a computer, based on a template, and make the connection at the same time I am adding the computer.  Currently, when I add a computer, once I hit Add I am immediately ready to add another computer and the Connections line has no options to be able to connect a monitor.

Thanks for any additional insight you can provide!
