Over the next few weeks i plan on moving my GLPI/OCS-NG from a Win2k3 server to a Ubuntu Server, what do i need to check?
- Im using Xammp (apache, MySql, etc) installation for Win2k3 server, is there a tool to completely migrate this installation to a Linux server?
- Can i backup my current database of GLPI and then restore it on the new server?
- What would be the easiest way to install GLPI and OCS? Maybe copy over the directory and change a few IP's around?
- What are the possible problems i can run to?
- I plan on giving the new Ubuntu-Server the same Computer name as the 2k3 computer (ill be removing the 2k3 machine off the domain), same Ip's also.
- I currently deploy OCS-NG via Active Directory computer start-up script (which works A1), would i have any problems with this once i move the OCS-NG to a Linux server? I know my "Deploy package" needs to be modified, or does it since im keeping the name/IP?
Thanks guys, anything you guys throw in here to help me create a check list will help tons.
