GLPI 9.4.3
Debian 10
Hello Everyone,
I am having a hard time here configuring the receiver and the email notifications.
I know the problem is not the EMail server because I have several systems using email notifications and everything works.
From the GLPI server I can telnet to ports 993 and 587 in the EMail server.
But when I click "Get EMail tickets now", I get:
Could not connect to mailgate server
Having troubles setting up an advanced GLPI module?
We can help you solve them. Sign up for support on https://services.glpi-network.com.
Do I need to install an additional packet in debian for this to work?
This is my receiver configuration:
Name (Email address): support@mail.mycompany.de
Active: Yes
Server: mail.mycompany.de
Connection options: IMAP SSL NO-VALIDATE-CERT
Incoming mail folder (optional, often INBOX): INBOX
Port (optional): 993
Connection string: {mail.mycompany.de:993/imap/ssl/novalidate-cert/debug}INBOX
Login: support@mylocaldomain.org
Password:
Use Kerberos authentication: No
Accepted mail archive folder (optional): Empty
Refused mail archive folder (optional): Empty
Maximum size of each file imported by the mails receiver: 5Mio
Use mail date, instead of collect one: No
Use Reply-To as requester (when available): No
Best regards

Changed the configuration to:
Name (Email address): support@mail.mycompany.de
Active: Yes
Server: mail.mycompany.de
Connection options: IMAP TLS NO-VALIDATE-CERT
Incoming mail folder (optional, often INBOX): INBOX
Port (optional): 143
Connection string: {mail.mycompany.de:143/imap/TLS/novalidate-cert/debug}INBOX
Login: support@mylocaldomain.org
Password:
Use Kerberos authentication: No
Accepted mail archive folder (optional): Empty
Refused mail archive folder (optional): Empty
Maximum size of each file imported by the mails receiver: 5Mio
Use mail date, instead of collect one: No
Use Reply-To as requester (when available): No
And now it works
This is very weird. I configured other systems and they all use port 993.
No idea why it doesnt work with GLPI
It looks like GLPI doesnt want to communicate using ports 993 and 587

If I configure sendmail or postfix in my GLPI server and then configure GLPI to use PHP in the notifications, it works.
So this is definitely a GLPI problem
