Active Directory Auth Problem.

Hi All, Sorry for discussing the same problem in a different thread but i had to do this as im really stuck and going nowhere.


Im using glpi 0.68.3

My configuration is as following

LDAP configuration
LDAP Host:        ldap://dc.test.com
LDAP Port:        389
Basedn:            DC=test,DC=com
rootdn:            CN=glpiadmin,CN=Users,DC=test,DC=com
pass:            ***********
Connection Filter:    (&(objectClass=user)(objectCategory=person))
Login Field:        samaccountname
Use TLS:        no

        Belonging to groups
Search type:  In Users
User attribute containing its groups:
Filter to search in groups:
Group attribute containing its users:

            GLPI/LDAP Links
Surname:        sn
Firstname:       givenname
Location:        physicaldeliveryofficename
E-Mail:           mail
Phone:           telephonenumber
Phone 2:
Mobile:

when i try to log on to GLPI using an AD user i get,
Can't Contact LDAP SERVER
Can't Contact LDAP SERVER
Can't Contact LDAP SERVER
                   .
   Loging Again

I have tried the LDAP browser and its working fine with the same settings.

I Also tried to sniff the packets on the network, but i cant see any packet leaving my glpi server with dest port 389 ( default LDAP .

HELP NEEDED URGENTLY

ldap://dc.test.com -> are sure that this information would be like this ?

DC is the name of the server running AD,
test.com is my domain information.

thats y i have entered ldap://dc.test.com

is it not correct??  kindly post the correct text that i should enter

rootdn:            CN=glpiadmin,CN=Users,DC=test,DC=com

is the glpiadmin a user or container if its a user try removing it form the rootdn line
