GLPI Not Detecting Uninstalled Software?

I deleted software from a WinXP system a few days ago.  The change was recorded in OCS but was not picked up by GLPI.  Checking through the forums, I found out that GLPI cron is only triggered when there is GLPI console activity.  Last night, some changes in the WinXP system were picked up automatically (change in processor frequency), but not the uninstalled software.  I tried a manual OCS synchronization this morning - no machines were identified as requiring updates.  I am running OCS v4100 and GLPI 0.68.3, installed on a Ubuntu 6.10 server. 

Is this a known issue?  I found some forum posts suggesting the same problem, but did not see a resolution.
