Hello,
I try to add a new component into the 'Items' tab of a Hard drive section and receive an error about the fact that I've to select a device type to do this action but no device type appears at all ? This is true for any other default components available under Home | Setup | Components.

Version of GLPI used?

If Yes, you have a dropdown to select type of component of the model. You have list a type in Setup > components

GLPI version 9.1.3
> you are in the component tab of a computer?
No, I'm under Setup > Components
> What do you mean by hard drive section"?
Go to Setup > Components, then click the "Hard drives" link from the list of available components on this page, then click on one of your hard drive name listed here, then click on the "Items" tab at the left column. From this page, you have a pull down menu at the top called "Add a new component" under which you can select a number (from 0 to 10) and click on the Add button at the right of this pull down menu. Doing this, will popup an error message saying "Please select a device type" ! but there is no way to select a device type !
