tracking changes to our H/W or S/W..

Hi all,
Im testing GLPI and OCS-NG and its working great, my boss wanted a certain feature and i wud like to know if it can be done.

He wants a functionality through which we can track changes to our H/W or S/W , eg. if we upgrade the RAM from 256 to 512 then there should be a record of the same in GLPI so that we can track the changes. just wanted to know if it is possible and if yes how?
