I would like users to be able to update the notes field in the "Computers" inventory section without giving them write permission to modify the other server information. I thought this would be possible by granting read access to the "Computers" inventory and write access to "Notes". This does give the user an "Update" button at the bottom of the notes field but when they try to update the notes field they get "Access Denied". The only way that I found to eliminate this is by giving them write access to the "Computers" inventory. Is this a know issue / bug or is this how the software was designed to work?
