Hi All,
My own PC died (hostname: UBIQ-DELL27). I rebuilt it, but used Vista.
I expected OCS/GLPI to identify the machine as a "new" machine, so after setup of the Client, I went to the "Link new OCS Computer..." link.
Sure enough, it listed UBIQ-DELL27V as the new machine, and I associated it to the old UBIQ-DELL27 account.
But:
It didn't pick up the fact that I now have Vista.. It still lists XP Pro.. Also the name remained as UBIQ-DELL27, so I had to rename it manually to ..27V.
The other thing is that the "Last update date in OCS" is 19-02-2007 08:59, but a login to OCSreports shows it as 8/3/07... And I do see the PC listed in the "Synchronization of already imported computers" when I manually sync..
I was just going to delete the PC from GLPI, but then I'll loose the history of tickets for that machine/documents/contracts associated etc..
So what should I do ?

Did you go to the OCSNG tab and try clicking the Force Sync button? Also make sure there are no locked fields selected unless you REALLY need them

Well... I went to try and do like you said... to find that the DELL27V entry in GLPI had disappeared.. The only thing I can think that caused this was that I removed the old UBIQ-DELL27 (non-V) account from OCS...
I'm hoping it'll re-appear as a new PC on the next sync..

Oh dear... Now the PC keeps appearing in the sync list, after syncing, it doesn't show in the Computer list in GLPI..

Check the Status drop down on your Inventory button. If its in red you have to open the item and click the Restore button to get it to show back up in inventory.

From what i have found items in red are things that have been deleted, or no longer have referances to them anymore. They are never truely deleted unless you dump them from there too.
