hi, im using groups form AD for managing users and material. it woks good. because of some posts i explain how do i do.
Firts create the group on the 2k3.
second go to groups, add group in glpi.
name : obvious
in users:
memberof
CN=example,CN=users,DC=mycompany,DC=com
in groups
CN=example,CN=users,DC=mycompany,DC=com
this work gooood.
Now the OU support. This doesnt work because theres no attribute in users that says the ou. Well lets edit a blank attribute in the user an add=> OU=sistemas, dc=mynet, dc=es.
I use adsiedit. i edit the user into de ou i want to add. I select show atributes with no value and, for example, i take "assistant" . Edit the assistant value an add OU=sistemas, dc=mynet, dc=es.
Now in glpi/groups add new group :
name: sistemas
in users:
assistant => well, now there is an atribute on the user that indicates its group
ldap value: OU=sistemas, dc=mynet, dc=es
in groups:
dn: OU=sistemas, dc=mynet, dc=es
Well, i know it is unelegant or, chapucero, but it works an i can manage my ous under AD.
bye && excuse my terrible english
