Request feature: Statistics and automatic linkage user/group

When a post only user add a ticket (with helpdesk.public.php) the group of the user (of course if the user is in a group) is not automatically valorized. The tech guy have to add manually the user to the group and if you have plenty of users is not always easy to understand what is the correct group (you have to look at the various group or looking in other pages to understand this). Letting the user to see the groups is not a solution because he/she will often forget to choose his/her group.

Similar for helpdesk.php when the ticket is created by a tech.

I know that a user can be in many groups but in many cases it is just in one group (or you can create the groups to reflect this needing). So it would be better an authomatic valorization of the group field in the glpi_tracking.

If some user is in more than a group maybe it will be possible to have another field in glpi_users_groups, I mean a boolean field true/false that states if the group is default for the user so you can flag a box in the user.form.php.

I am a system engineer not a programmer, this weekend I have studied a little php but I am a novice and your code is using all that includes that is really difficult for me making these kind of changes, so I am asking you if you would like to implement this kind of features.

for the moment the group of a tcket is the group of the hardware linked to the ticket if defined.

OK but 2 or better 3 questions:

1) Do it yourself. I mean, I studied a little php and the code, I was able to have in return in helpdesk.public.php the FK_groups value after a little (poor) coding but I haven't still find the way in your code to put the values in glpi_tracking, some hint? I am very near now, it will suffice to call a variable from helpdesk.public.php in some place in the includes but where?
2) a ticket is linked to the hardware and the hardware, normally, to a person .... So we have to do just a little step (indeed if you think to helpdesk.public.php, it has more sense automatic group assignation or not?)
3) do you think to accept my request and in how much time it will be implemented (not to put you in a hurry just to know, 1 monti, 1 yar, decades)?
