Assign a computer to a company

Hello.

I would like to use GLPI to support a big company which owns several other companies and I would like to know if it's possible to define to which company an asset belongs to.

The companies module is great, because I can also add contacts. I would like to assign a company to an asset. Currently I can only do that modifying the manufacturer of a computer, but then I loss if it es a HP, Dell...

Is it possible to create departments by companies?
