I work in a school. We often have requests to install software on all PCs in the same room. We currently use IRM 1.58 as our helpdesk solution but GLPI seems to tick more boxes...
... except that we can't put a request/ticket against a room or location as we can in IRM.
The structured locations in GPLI are great as we have multiple sites with multiple buildings on each site so sorting our PCs (which have site and room information in their names) will work great.
But I can't see how to log a call against a location/room.
Can it be done or does code need adding? Ideally the help request screen would allow you to select location, child location (if they exist) and grandchild location (etc) and then either place a call against the whole room or against equipement recorded as being in that location (as well as the existing search for equipment by name).
Does anyone have the answer?
If it is not possible would anyone like to quote for adding this functionality?
