GLPI 0.68.1 & OCS 1.0 RC3-1 Computer and linked Printers and Monitors

Hallo,

I have a question about this
In our organization we import printers and monitors linked to computer from OCS inventory ( ver 1.0RC3-1).

When we want to delete the computer imported, GLPI don't  remove the printers and monitors linked.

If we reimport the computer deleted in the printers and the monitor linked are newly imported .

Is possible to remove linked printers and monitors when the computer is removed from glpi ? or
is possible to not import printers and monitors when they already exist in GLPI?

Thank for your reply.

if you managed printers and monitors as global you will only gave 1 entry for 1 type of monitor.
When you reimport computers after deletion existing printers and monitors will be used.

OK,
but if we import monitors and Printers as globas is possible to have all the information ( Serial Number / Inventory number ) for single monitor or printer?

We need to maintain the serial number and inventory number information for every Printer / Monitor because thies information are sended to our support partner for reparation.

Is possible to do it with "global" importation?

Thanks for your Reply

OK,
I ask you if is possible insert as request feature this option:

when the glpi user delete a computer a list of linked devices compare and is possible to check or uncheck what he want remove with computer.

GLPI is a very good pieces of software. At this moment we are in the first fase ( importation data and  migration from another closed source software ( Weilgut integrated in Lotus Notes ).

I want to kwon which is the better way to ask a new feature or suggestion for non french speaking.

Thanks for you great job and Regards

you could also detect unlinked devices and do a mass deletion
