In older version there was the option to set Translate Mode. Now i have only "Normal" or "Debug".

TRANSLATION_MODE was not use since GLPI version > 0.84 because we change system of translation (gettext now)

okay i'm not sure if i understand this correct. i don't know gettext but i'm on transifex to translate. Sometimes i don't find the position in glpi where the text is in use is there a way to find that out ? common/notfication ... sometimes is not clear.

In transifex you have a part under the place for translation. In this part you have Occuren... with th file where the text is and the number of the line
