Manufacturer field help

Hello, I have GLPI version 0.68 and for some reson when I make a template I am unable to put something in the Manufacturer field and the status field. I am able to input data in all the other fields except them two. If I start a new template I am still unable to input something into the fields. How can I fix this?

I figured out what I had to do. I had to go under Managment>Companies then just Insert a Manufacturing company then that company will show up in the Manufacturer field in the dropdown. Also figured out the status to.
