Hi guys, another comment...
The calendars in the financial infos forms for selecting buy date and startup date only work for me in Internet Explorer. Even worse, these fields are locked so that the dates can't be entered via the keyboard.
I don't use IE and at times don't have access to it, making it a real pain to fill these fields out.
Also, I find it much faster to just type a date than to use a calander interface, so it would be nice to have that option.

it is a choice not be permit to enter dates by hands because in this case we need to check data.
It is not just on IE it is true for all browsers.

Ok, but I'm saying that the calendar control does not work in non-IE browsers like Firefox 1.5. Thus I can't enter a date in this field at all unless I'm on a windows machine with IE.

the calendar works on non Ie browsers. I try with IE and firefox and the control is the same.

At the moment I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.2 (english, windows). The calendar control does not work. It pops up as expected, but none of the buttons work. I can't change months or even select a day of the month....in fact it won't even close.

Update: I tried the calendar with Opera 8.51 and 9 (preview 2) and it works. In 8.51 there are display problems, but it does function.
Still no luck with Firefox 1.5.0.2.

I checked the javascript console when trying to use the calendar in Firefox and these are the errors reported:
Error: window.event has no properties
Source File: http://houston/glpi/calendar/calendar.js
Line: 157
Error: window.event has no properties

These are logged every time the mouse moves over or clicks on the control.

I tried it out with Firefox 1.5.0.3 on a different machine and it works.
I have no idea why it doesn't work on this machine? I just updated firefox this morning and still no luck.

Update: I looked at the code and it appears as though the problem occurs because in this one case Firefox is being detected as IE.
It's interesting to note that the comment right before the function that throws the error reads:
"// FIXME: the following 2 functions totally suck, are useless and should be replaced immediately."
Anyhow, I think that this might be because I modified my firefox configuration to do NTLM authentication so that it could be used with our local intranet on IIS. I'm not sure why that would be the case yet.

Update, I was able to fix the problem by *completely* removing firefox (manually deleting files, registry items, etc), and then reinstalling.
