Send alarms on cartridges

Hi everybody,

Well, my co-workers and me tried to figure out how it works with the notification in GLPI, unfortunately without success. We already tried to google the solution and looking it up in the GLPI forum.

Sending test mails itself works
Setup >Notifications > Email

But we don't get any notification, when the cartridges are below the alert threshold. Looking at the log in Setup >Automatic actions > cartridge we just get the entries Action completed, no processing required.

I'm pretty new to glpi, so please let me know what screenshots you need to help.

Additional Info:

• Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS

• Apache 2.2.22

• PHP 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.4 with Suhosin-Patch

• mysql  Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.5.24, for debian-linux-gnu (x86_64) using readline 6.2

• GLPI 0.83.4

I ran the file cron.php and added it into crontab
The task runs in CLI mode.

# crontab -l
*/1 * * * * /usr/bin/php5 /usr/local/share/glpi/front/cron.php &>/dev/null
