I have learned that during a Print to PDF massive export, that there is no option to select what fields to print (similar to a single print to PDF), and that only the defaults as selected in user preferences are used.
I would recommend to have the massive export prompt for what fields to print so it is consistent with the single export. Then I would populate those boxes according to the user preferences just like a single export.
I tested this under a default 0.83.1 installation, please see system informations below:
