Tool Tips not populated

Hello,

Unless I am missing something here, I don't see any Tool Tips populated with anything anywhere except some particular plugins. Is this something missing in the english translation?

Could you be more specific? I see plenty of functioning tooltips in v0.80.61, english.

The only plugin we use is OCS, so perhaps its actually one of your other plugins which is breaking the tooltips in the core application?

Even in the demo I don't get any info in the tool tip on computer. I am thinking the the little icon left of the + sign in the computer form is a tool tip.

Any thoughts?

What content do you expect in this tooltip ?

It is (mostly) populated with comments of the linked object.
So try to fill the "comments", it should show up in the tooltip.

I was hoping for a suggestion of what the field is used for. That way it is a self documenting system. Many of the people looking at the info or entering data don't understand everything (nor do I) and a bit of info on what it is used for would be great.

Is this field easily populated from a DB table or a file?

Try this.

Open Setup / Dropdown
Take Operating System
Open a form
Enter
Name : foo
Comments : what you what to write about this

Then open a computer form
In the OS dropdown, select "foo", the tooltip should be populated with "what you what to write about this"

That is a tool tip / comment for what is select not the field itself. but that is how to populate the tool tip part I was curious about. thx.
