Hi all,
I have a problem with the above mentioned plugin from version 1.7.0 and on.The plugin not only checks the computer's ip address but also checks the ip addresses it finds connected on switch ports. This way it shows duplicate ip entries(which is not correct),since the ip address it finds on a switch port already corresponds to a computer's ip.This did not happen with previous versions of the plugin. Please check it.Thank you in advance.

In the setup of the report, choose Same IP = No

Hello Imnt9,
I have the same problem I've been trying to correct it but seems to have no luck at all. Tried turning the IP = NO and it works now thank you.

If you select 'Same IP' = NO, it doesn't display any IP which appears more than once. So any device connected to a switch won't appear at all if the same IP is present in both the switch and device, and if you have an IP address conflict, neither of them appear. At least with the previous version the IP appeared on a red line. I agree that IPs on anything other than an end device should not be shown.

Hi,
I have a problem with the plugin (or maybe not) and don't know why it happens:
I add network ports to different computers, and connect them to different 'virtual' devices (virtual switches). I configure the IP address I'm using in the computer network interface, but the interface only appears in the ip addresses listing for some of the computers, not for all. I have tried to figure out what is missing in the 'not-appearing' computers, but haven't succeded... any hints?
regards.

Ok. I figured out what my problem was....
It seems the computer (not the network interface) must be associated with a certain network to appear in the IP listing.
I think this is a little bit tricky, and on the other hand a computer could be in different networks (not just one).
It makes more sense IMHO to link the networks in the IP listing with those in the network interfaces. If I have the time I'll fill in a request.

If you choose a network, It will report only equipment of this network
If you don't choose a network, it will report all equipment.
You can have various "private" network using the same IP addresses (192.168.1.0 p.e.)

I also faced the same problem. But sort out by using the same IP = NO and it works.
Thanks.
