I've tried using the auto AD configuration in GLPI 0.8.5 to a Server 2008 R2 server in forest level 2008R2 and the following data:
Server: dc1.classe.cornell.edu
Port: 389
Connection Filter: (&(objectClass=user)(objectCategory=person)(!(userAccountControl:1.2.840.113556.1.4.803:=2)))
BaseDN: dc=classe,dc=cornell,dc=edu
rootDN: cn=admin-glpi,cn=Users,dc=classe,dc=cornell,dc=edu
LoginField: samaccountname
Password: whatthepasswordis
But the tests all fail... Is there any more information somewhere to help? Or a log somewhere that might explain what exactly is failing?
Thanks

I think you miss one "dc" in the begining...
BaseDN: dc=classe,dc=cornell,dc=edu -> BaseDN: dc=dc1,dc=classe,dc=cornell,dc=edu

Ok, thanks. I also figured out from the other thread that it's all case sensitive and space sensitive. Don't make the mistake I did and go by samaccountname for the username, go into ASDI edit and see what the LDAP AD thinks things are actually named, and if they're upper or lower case.
Now that the test succeded, time to try the rest of it.
