Hi all!
One of the big, and for me, exiting news in 0.80 was the ability to link tickets.
But after trying this out I can't say that I understand the point.
I thought that if I have one main ticket (id 1) and lets say three tickets linked to it (id 2, 3, 4), that when I close the ticket with id 1 then the tickets with id 2, 3, 4 will close with it.
To put it in a real life example.
Lets say I have a program with three bugs in it that I know will be fixed with a updated version. I create a ticket called "Upgrade to new version" then create and link the bug tickets to that. When the new version of the program is up and running I close the main ticket "Upgrade to new version", and the bugs tickets will follow.
So, am I doing something wrong here, or did you have something else in mind when you added the "link tickets" function?
Thanks for all the fine and hard work with glpi, I really appreciate it!
Cheers!

That's the feature implemented for "duplicate ticket" (not for simple "linked ticket")

Can you expand on what the purpose of linked vs duplicate tickets are then?
I would really like to see the ability to have a master or parent linked tickets be able to close all the child tickets. You can easily have different tickets (issues/software bugs) that are not duplicates of each other that are fixed with a software upgrade.
Having parent/child tickets allows us to have projects without having to get into a project plugin.
Thanks

Hello.
It would be great if we could have an option to select if we want to copy the status of the ticket when you duplicate tickets.
And for answering the difference between link and duplicate, duplicate "copies" the "Solution" tab:

Hello from 2023
it is still not possible to resolve multiple related tickets by automatically indicating the same solution ?
