Hello,
I'm playing around with the Software-Licenses in GLPI 0.80.2.
I have a software, three different versions, all of them in use. The software has its own license server so no problem there. We've 10 license to check in with the server. I created the software object with the three versions. Each higher version is a update and has no own license. We can run all three versions at the same time up to 10 users in total.
Now my problem:
How do I handle the license management?
If I give each Version 10 license I got 30 in total. But I can't reduce the lower version license to 0, that would do the job.
Do I over see something or is this no meant to be?
Frank

In each license, you can select :
- the buy version
- the used version
This should answer your need
Dév. Fedora 29 - PHP 5.6/7.0/7.1/7.2/7.3/7.4 - MariaDB 10.3 - GLPI master
Certifié ITILv3 - RPM pour Fedora, RHEL et CentOS sur https://blog.remirepo.net/

Hello Remi,
that doesn't solve the problem.
I've all three versions in use and the license I have are for all three versions. Its like using Office 2003 and 2007 with a downgrade license from the same license pool ( I know: use OpenOffice, its only an exsample). If I use Buy / used version only one of the versions gets a valid license.

Hello Remi,
You made me think about the problem with buy / use.
Since it makes no difference what version is installed using one of the licenses , I just have to rename the software object containing all versions and the problem is solved.
You can close.
