how can i add new fields in glpi-computer table

Hi

I have to add some fields like project name, business to categorized systems according project name.
Please tell me how can i add fields in glpi-computer table.
This will help me keep track inventory according to project name.

you cannot add field in the tables.
You can make a plugin to add specific informations or use unused fields.

can i import data (which i have in excel sheet) in glpi table.

As i have lot of data like location of user, phone no, po no of machine, invoice detail in excel sheet, can i create a query which upload these excel data to glpi table.

all of the data you mention can be stored in glpi, but not in the computer-table: locations are a separate table, as well as invoice, user data and phone data, all of which can be linked to a computer record.  The po no is probably the "serial" number of the computer.

Of course this means that a simple "one insert-statement per computer"  import of your data is not possible...

i have a question. how can i create additional tables in glpi for other stuff or is that posible at all?
