Closing Tickets from list view

I want to be able to close multiple tickets from the list view of tickets.
I would do this by checking each of them, then at the bottom selecting update from the dropdown, then status, then closed.
What ends up happening is all of those people get an email about the ticket being closed.  Is there a way for them to, by default, not be emailed about this.

Re: Closing Tickets from list view

You don't want people get an email when you close multiple ticket, or always ?

Always is possible, but not just when you close multiple ticket.

Re: Closing Tickets from list view

I would them never receive a follow up when I close multiple ticket or be able to choose.
Secondly, is it possible that by default, when I go into the ticket, the follow up to ticket is set to No instead of Yes

Re: Closing Tickets from list view

Yes but if you disable notification on close, they will never receive mail, that you close one ticket, or more
