Hello,
I am running GLPI version 0.78.2 and I face the following problem: when running under post-only profile and change the language from English to any other, the language is changed only during the current session. It does not keep after logoff. Is there any special permissions needed in order to accomplish this? Or can I setup GLPI in such a way that it detects the browser language?
Thank you!

No problem for me.
Test French -> English : after logout and login language stays english
Test English -> German : after logout and login language stays German
Have you errors in files/_logs/php-errors.log ?
Use you plugin (like archires) ?
Which language would you like to use ?
CentOS 6.5 - CentOS 7.x
PHP 5.6 - PHP 7.x - MySQL 5.6 - MariaDB 10.2 + APC + oOPcache
GLPI from 0.72 to dev version

Hello and thanks for the answer:
Did you try changing the language under an user with post-only profile ( simplified interface)? In my case, the language can be changed if the user is super-admin for example, but not for post-only group members.
I use no plugins.
I would like to change from English to German.
Cheers!

No errors in php-errors.log when GLPI is put in debug mode. It simply does not work...

I finally figured out why the language was not changing: in LDAP parameters the language was always taken from the preferredlanguage variable in AD, so all the time English. Removed that setting and seems to be ok now even after logoff and re-login.
Cheers!
