Hi All,
(Production: 0.72.3, testing: 0.78.1)
At the moment, my users login and authenticate against LDAP.
I've never figured out how to get LDAP-groups working, to match against GLPI Groups and GLPI Profiles, so I do that allocation manually. I have no GLPI groups, but I do have profiles called Normal and TeamManager.
I use the TeamManager profile so that they can go into tickets, and add a Follow-up saying "I approve" on tickets where I need signoff.
Theres several problems:
- People in TeamManagers can access and view everyone elses tickets
- Its quite confusing for them. They dont use GLPI that often and forget the mechanism.
- Sometimes clicking on a link in an email makes them login, but then doesn't take them to the page
What I'd actually like:
- 'Managers' to be able to see the tickets of their own Teams, but not others
- 'Group1-Signees' to be able to see and validate tickets of a certain category.
So - how does the new Validate feature work ?

Look at Setup > Profiles > Helpdesk tab > See assigned tickets (personnal + group associated) :
- 'Group1-Signees' to be able to see and validate tickets of a certain category.
No you can't have visibily by category
