Hi,
i am running ocs-inventory-agent on my hardware nodes. It finds the installed virtual servers and writes them into the ocs database.
Is it possible to import those virtual servers into glpi? Maybe also with a parent-child relation?
Thanks

I do second on this as well, that would be a very nice feature to have, if possible.

Hello,
Where is the problem?
I run W8K Server and have on all Servers at least three Hyper-V machines running. They reach from Win XP, Win7, W3K, W8K to SLES 10SP3.
All my Hosts and VMs are found by OCS and mass imported by GLPI OCS plugin. No problem at all. They show up in GLPI as they should.
I do us the plugin Relations to track which VM is on which Host. Works like a charm.

Hi Frank,
I am scanning solaris zones and the only place where I can see them is directly in the ocs database in the virtualmaschines table. Are your virtual servers also in this table? Maybe I did not set up glpi correctly but these virtual servers are not imported.
Thanks

Hello,
now we getting there. We do have Solaris zones too (container and brande), but we don't inventory them. Has to do with the work we do and the restrictions what to put on the machines.
So, I run OCS 1.02, no need to update. I don't know if I've that table. We just use OCS to import to GLPI. We do no work in OCS at all.
My SLES and Win servers show all under "All computers" up.
BTW: If we do want to install a UNIX agent on Solaris could you give me some help with the packages I need?

Hello,
you've to do the most extreme thing of all:
Read the manual
Start looking at:
http://blog.famillecollet.com/pages/OCS-GLPI-en
This will give you a general scope about it. Its an older tutorial.
That can help too:
https://forge.indepnet.net/projects/mas … /En_manual
And last but not least:
A search for "OCS import" will pop up about 220 posts.
Check both options in "International support (En):"
If you speak French do so in "Support (Fr): Utilisation GLPI Mode OCS-NG"
It's not that hard. Have fun.

Hi,
my fault, I just looked, if the page is still there and did a quick peek at the OCS Version (its the older Version I'm running).
No, offence.
About the Guide: I should'a been more specific (I run everything on a SLES).
Of course its only the section OCSNG mode configuration and below.
In my opinion, it gives one a point to start configuring OCS and GLPI.
It help me a looot getting things running.
Thank you Remi for that page.
