Will there be a better way to track virtual machines in version 0.72? I know this has been on the roadmap, but I haven't seen anything in the 0.72 RCs yet. I am particularly interested in being able to tie virtual machines / LPARs to a physical chassis, or a cluster of physical machines. Thanks.

We had the same need, so I created a plugin for this. It allows parent-child relationships between computers (and networks), so you can link VMs to the physical machine, machines to clusters, etc.
The current version works with .71.5. Download it here:

I will upgrade it for .72 when I get time.

Thank you for the post. I will install and test this today.

Hello,
Does anyone have the plugin mentioned earlier in this thread, the link isn't working anymore.
Thank you in advance,
Regards.

Still nuts about GLPI
Running glpi 0.84.1 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Why are my posts written so poorly: I was the best dyslexic in my class.
