Re: how to synic users from a SBS 2008 server

the problem is with the search filter,

try with a less restrictive filter, for example:

conection filter: (&(objectCategory=Person)(objectClass=user))

with this change it should work.

regards.

P.D. please try to open only one post about the same issue, as you have at least 3 dicferent post about ad sync.

Re: how to synic users from a SBS 2008 server

hi

thanks for the reply and it works.:)

in the configuration i have change the server name to just to the computer name not the FQDN in the server then only the groups were able to import.

now the problem is that cant import users the filter you have provided is only import groups and cant log in with the domain user name to glpi.

any idea for that.

thanks !

Re: how to synic users from a SBS 2008 server

Ok,

the problem is the following setting, where you have

Log in Field  : tst
loginfield: samaccountname (this is where the username is in ldap)

if you search in internet you can find a list of what the diferent fields of ldap are for:

First name: givenname
Surname: sn
e-mail: mail
phone: telephonenumber
etc.

hope this helps.
