Time-zone Transition

Dear Friends,

I am using GLPI in India. I have selected Time Zone for India as GMT +5.5 hrs in "General Setup" however while generating new tickets, time still appears as GMT ie. correction of +5.5 hrs, as applicable for India, does not appear. In MySQL database, I notice that there are tables for timezone transition however all of them are empty. These tables are:

time_zone
time_zone_leap_second
time_zone_name
time_zone_transition
time_zone_transition_type
glpi_time_zone
glpi_time_zone_leap_second
glpi_time_zone_name
glpi_time_zone_transition
glpi_time_zone_transition_type

Can I check what entries should be written in these tables for making timezone correction of +5.5 hrs. In India, DST is not applicable. Thanks.

Warm Regards

Pankaj

Re: Time-zone Transition

TimeZone in setup is only for ldap.

You must check your timezone in php configuration (date.timezone).

Re: Time-zone Transition

Dear Remi,

Thanks for the reply. I have checked all php files under c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\glpi subfolders. It seems that date.timezone.php is missing. Can I check that it could be a case of time zone correction not taking place because date.timezone.php file is missing or I need to update php configuration soemwhere else. Thanks.

Warm Regards

Pankaj

Re: Time-zone Transition

date.timezone is a directive in the php configuration file (php.ini)

Re: Time-zone Transition

Dear Remi,

Yes, it looks like a php configuration bug. date.timezone setting in my php.ini is blank. Current settings appear as:

[Date]
; Defines the default timezone used by the date functions
;date.timezone =

;date.default_latitude = 31.7667
;date.default_longitude = 35.2333

;date.sunrise_zenith = 90.583333
;date.sunset_zenith = 90.583333

I have tried changing the settings manually to:

[Date]
; Defines the default timezone used by the date functions
;date.timezone = asia/calcutta

;date.default_latitude = 22.3410
;date.default_longitude = 88.2210

;date.sunrise_zenith = 90.583333
;date.sunset_zenith = 90.583333

but it still doesn't work. Can I check how can I change php configuration to enable timezone transition in glpi to timezone for India? Thanks.
