Hi,
I am not totaly clear how to use software and licenses.
For example:
Situation 1:
I have Office 2003 and Office 2003
Softwaretitel: Office
Company: Microsoft
License 1: Version = 2003, Licensekey = 12345
License 2: Version = 2007, Licensekey = 67890
In this sitation I put the version number in the license. This is the right way I think, because GLPI has a version field in the license.
The problem:
- I cannot use the financial information (date of purchase etc), because the financial informations belongs to a software and not to a license.
- I cannot use the field "update" because I only have one "office".
So I try Situation 2. I put the version number into the softwarefield.
Softwaretitel: Office 2003
Company: Microsoft
License 1: Version = ---, Licensekey = 12345
License 2: Version = ---, Licensekey = 12346
But I am unsure if this is the right way.....?!?
How do other user use the softwaremanagement ?
Thanx for a hint,
Andy.

In conclusion to my post above:
I only would like to know if other users put the VERSION of a software in the SOFTWARE NAME oder in the LICENSE FIELD "Version"
Greetings, Andy.
